ABOUT THIS COURSE

This qualification is ideal for individuals who lead internal quality assurance teams and are responsible for planning, monitoring, and improving the assessment quality across learning and development organisations or assessment centres.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
COURSE STRUCTURE

To achieve this qualification, learners must complete three mandatory units:


  • UNDERSTANDING THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICED OF INTERNALLY ASSURING THE QUALITY OF ASSESSMENT (T/601/15320)

  • INTERNALLY ASSURE THE QUALITY OF ASSESSMENT (A/601/5321)

  • PLAN, ALLOCATE AND MONITOR WORK IN OWN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (H/600/9674)

ASSESSMENT & EVIDENCE

Learners will build a portfolio of evidence showcasing their performance in the workplace.


Evidence must demonstrate:


  • x2 Separate practicals monitoring 2 different assessors (each assessing two learners)

  • Effective planning, standardisation, and feedback practices

  • Legal, ethical, and inclusive practice in quality assurance



Assessment Methods Include:


  • Direct observation in the workplace

  • Professional discussions

  • Work products (QA reports, plans, records)

  • Reflective accounts

  • Witness testimonies


All evidence must be valid, authentic, sufficient, and generated in a real work setting.

This course is designed for those who:


  • Are involved in internal quality assurance

  • Lead or manage a team of assessors or internal quality assurers

  • Have a role in planning, allocating, and monitoring work related to assessment quality

  • Want to progress into a leadership role within quality assurance

  • Could offer IQA for other Academies aswell as own

  • Could go onto offering EQA
