ABOUT THIS COURSE
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, commonly referred to as the CAVA, is a nationally recognised qualification that enables you to assess both occupational competence in the workplace and vocational knowledge in classroom or training settings. This qualification is ideal for those looking to begin a career in assessment or formalise their existing assessing responsibilities. It is the gold standard for becoming a qualified assessor in further education, apprenticeships, NVQs, and vocational training.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?

ASSESSMENT & EVIDENCE
The CAVA qualification is assessed through a portfolio of evidence, including:
Written assignments
Observation of live assessments
Witness testimonies and assessor feedback
Completed learner assessment records
Reflective practice logs
To complete the qualification, learners must:
Assess at least 2 learners, twice (4 assessments in total)
Use a minimum of 3 different assessment methods
Complete both workplace and classroom-based assessments
PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES
After completing this qualification, learners can:
Work as a qualified assessor for NVQs, apprenticeships, diplomas, and short courses
Progress to the Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
Combine with the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) to deliver and assess vocational training
Take on assessor roles in FE colleges, private training providers, and industry organisations

WE CANNOT HAVE ANY INVOLVEMENT WITH MODELS FOR ANY PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT DAYS. THIS IS DUE TO CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
WE CAN HOWEVER ASSIST WITH SOURCING MODELS FOR ANY IN-HOUSE TRAINING DAYS FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF £15PP IF YOU NEED THE SUPPORT.
